Imagine our surprise this afternoon, when we checked KyPolitics.org site statistics to learn that hundreds of readers were being linked to KyPolitics.org from a link on The Washington Post's web site. Our first reaction, as is the case in most instances when our little blog attracts national attention, was, "What have we done now?"
Turns out that the Post's political blogger Chris Cillizza had made a post on his blog The Fix naming KyPolitics.org as one of the "Best of the State Politics Blogs" for Kentucky. Unbeknownst to us, one of our readers must have nominated us for this honor. To this reader and all our fiercely loyal readers, we thank you for this recognition. Your interest and comments drive our content, so thanks for reading.

Brett, Congratulations!! You certainly deserve alot more for all of your hard work than just this award. If it wasn't for people like you, we would all know NOTHING!!! YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE, and I THANK YOU!!! Linda

With the great continuing coverage of the upcoming Dem primary, traffic should get even better.

Brett: I hate to rain on your parade but the list included Kentucky Kurmudgeon and Osi Speaks. Neither of those two blogs is worth much at all. Osi merely regurgitates what the mainstream media has to say without much in new thought, while Keeling is an idiot.
As well, I'd bet even Larry Dale would say that his blog is nowhere near as good as Pol Watchers which was left off the list. Also missing is Pat Crowley's excellent blog.
So, while he ceratinly got it right when he put your blog on the list. He missed it badly by naming Osi and Keeling while missing Pol Watchers and Crowley's blog.
Keep up the good work.
