Fischer throws barbs at Lunsford and Schumer during Democrat gathering in Frankfort

Since Andrew Horne dropped out of the Democrat primary for U.S. Senate last month, left-wing elements of the Democrat party have been privately expressing deep discontent with the Democrat establishment (DSCC Chairman Senator Chuck Schumer of New York, Governor Steve Beshear, and Kentucky Democrat Chairman Jennifer Moore) over the perception that Horne was forced out of the Senate race in favor of the establishment's preferred candidate, Bruce Lunsford.

Last Saturday, at Kentucky Democrat Headquarters in Frankfort, that left-wing Democrat dissatisfaction bubbled out into public view. Greg Fischer, another candidate running for the Democrat nomination for the U.S. Senate, while speaking before a gathering of Kentucky Democrat leaders, accused Senator Schumer of favoring a particular candidate in the primary. While Fischer did not name that candidate, it was an unmistakable reference to Lunsford.

Watch Fischer's speech:

By inference, readers can assume that Fischer is also accusing Lunsford of lacking a "clean background" or a "clean record."

The claws have come out in the Democrat primary.

Cat fight or food fight?

Does anyone have Greg Fisher's phone number?

Horne was gratefully bought out of the race and he and Bruce are now great buddies. Greg got bigfooted and Horne showed his true colors. A true progressive that Horne is.

Andrew Horne and Bruce Lunsford are great buddies?

Fat chance.

Sitting beside someone at a dinner does not a friendship make. But this is Brett Hall's site... spin, spin, spin.

Chucky Schumer's getting involved in Kentucky politics is like David Duke picking the next governor of New York State.
