EXCLUSIVE: Lunsford claims Illinois residency in Arizona property deal documents

Lunsfordmcadams KyPolitics.org has uncovered new documents in regard to Bruce Lunsford's recent purchase of a home in Scottsdale, Arizona. As we reported yesterday, Lunsford and a woman named Jennifer L. McAdams purchased a $1.85 million home in the Silverleaf Club subdivision.

After searching the property records available from the Maricopa County Assessor, we discovered that Lunsford and McAdams paid an actual purchase price of $1,850,139.00 for the property, with a down payment of $555,139.00. The property deed was recorded in Arizona on February 14th of this year. On an affidavit filed with Maricopa County Recorder, Lunsford indicates that he and McAdams or one of their family members plan to occupy the property, which is located at 18827 North 101st Place, Scottsdale, Arizona 85255. Lunsford also indicates on the affidavit that tax bills for the property should be mailed to a business location in Louisville, Kentucky.

Lunsford, a candidate for the Democrat nomination in Kentucky for the U.S. Senate, has twice run unsuccessfully for Kentucky governor. We note that Article I, Section 3 of the U.S. Constitution reads as follows:

No Person shall be a Senator who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty Years, and been nine Years a Citizen of the United States, and who shall not, when elected, be an Inhabitant of that State for which he shall be chosen.

While it would appear that Mr. Lunsford may not be required to inhabit the state of Kentucky during the campaign, it seems that he must be an inhabitant at the time of the general election. Mr. Lunsford's affidavit raises the question of whether he is currently a Kentucky resident.

We're looking forward to our readers taking a look at these documents and offering their thoughts.

UPDATE - 12:10pm - We've obtained a copy of Bruce Lunsford's filing papers for the U.S. Senate from the Secretary of State's office. On those papers, Lunsford indicates that his address of residence is 1400 Willow Avenue, #704, Louisville, Kentucky 40204. He does not indicate that he has a separate mailing address, contrary to the affidavit filed with the Maricopa County (AZ) Recorder's Office.

A search of the Jefferson County (KY) Clerk's Land Records Office for this property, yielded a deed for the property that was conveyed to Lunsford on October 26, 2007 for the sum of $433,000. However, Lunsford himself never signed the deed. It is signed by Lunsford's attorney through a power of attorney.

The question remains as to whether Mr. Lunsford is actually a Kentucky resident and how that impacts his qualifications to run for the U.S. Senate seat in Kentucky. Does Mr. Lunsford live at a condominium in Louisville, Kentucky that he purchased in October 2007, at an address in Chicago, Illinois that he lists as his mailing address, or at his recently purchased property in Scottsdale, Arizona?

Dang. Is that her?

WOW, what a Valentines Gift!

Great research. Keep nailing them up!

If this is a girlfriend, I'm sure she's interested in him for his looks and money has nothing to do with it. If he didn't have money, he wouldn't have a snowball's chance. These old men with money are so stupid, but then again I guess they can buy whatever they want--even love. Pathetic!

You know what they say....Money cant buy you love but it can buy you the kind of misery you can afford to live with......

Bruce has houses and tricks in six states.

Bruce's bimbo eruption?

Don't tell Elaine Chao. She'll want Mitch to step up and buy her an expensive Scottsdale pad, too. Competition.

Oh crap! I knew that woman was trouble.

A bit confused? I would like to suggest a few related sites that will no doubt offer more clarity for you.
