Beshear caught up in robo-call mania
Thoughout the day today an unknown entitity has been robo-calling Kentuckians highlighting the C*FAIR gubernatorial endorsment of Steve Beshear. The call does not include a disclaimer indicating the entity responsible for the calls.
The calls consist of a male voice reading the following script:
“For the first time in 20 years the homosexual lobby proudly endorses a Kentucky candidate for governor, Steve Beshear. Beshear is receiving major support from out-of-state gay activists and has publicly committed to same-gender relationships, employment of more homosexuals in state government including teachers, and support for homosexual adoption of children.
If you believe these rights are fair please vote for Steve Beshear for governor. Visit Fairness.org.”
One individual who recieved the call reported the call came from the following toll-free number: 1-800-611-0244. KYPolitics.org tried calling the number back, but only recieved a recorded greeting that said, "Thank you for calling. Goodbye."
Democrats, including the Beshear campaign, are in a mad rush to find the entity responsible for these calls. While there is quite a bit of irresponsible and misplaced finger-pointing among Democrat activists, the Beshear campaign has gone on the defensive with a robo-call of their own denouncing the anonymous message.
Democrats obviously have a problem with Kentuckians knowing about their support from the gay, lesbian and transgender community. Whatever.
Beshear-ites shouldn't be defensive about an issue they staked a position on and stuck with. Steve Beshear, stand up proudly and tell Kentucky voters you support medical benefits for gay partners. Just don't creap everyone out when asked how you're going to pay for it...and how much it will cost taxpayers.

Enjoy your last few hours suckers!

It's too little, too late, Brett. Tomorrow will be the most glorious day for Kentucky Democrats in state history.

According to this site, calls from the same number have gone out from Fletcher's campaign.

I think Beshear's problem with it is that it's a trick - Fairness.org did not sponsor the calls. Personally, I'd have no problem with it if the caller presented the factual information and let the voters of Kentucky decide for themselves (even if I might disagree with how they voted!) But the way these calls are presented is fundamentally dishonest.
Dishonesty used to be something folks disapproved of - I guess if it's to the tactical advantage of the right, KYPolitics has no problem with it.

Don't be ridiculous.
Robo-calls with no sponsor are a cheap political trick. Desperate campaigns who resort to them are ones that have tanked and are going down the toilet.

This type of Ann Coulter excuse for a "political dirty trick" will not wash guys. So, they are just stating where the Democrat stands on the issue. Right!
Why not just come out and call Beshear a fag. Ann would -- but, she's got balls.
This gay bashing stuff doesn't work anymore -- but, you keep trying it.

All the robo-calls this GOP household with an unlisted/unpublished phone number got were from the f--king idiot Democrats with a caller ID number of 000-000-0000.
How did the Beshear campaign get a vanity phone number to match his IQ? LMFAO
Seriously that ain't right. I don't and didn't want that crap in my house but without a valid phone number to block, I had no choice but to play the first few seconds on my answering machine before I hit the erase button in disgust.
Pretty low-class for the Dems to send out calls with an obviously fake phone number displayed on caller ID.
